Recently I interned with Paperazzi Magazine and had the opportunity to attend Fashion Week, Pakistan 2017. I was required to cover the red carpet which entailed taking pictures of major fashion figures and celebrities and of course shoot my favourite looks from the runway. It was lovely to work with the Paperazzi girls, Mehak Elahi and Mehreen Hashmi. I got to connect with so many amazing personalities such as stylist Amal Qadri from ‘Shake Things Up by Amal’, editor of Niche Lifestyle, Zainab Malik, jewelry extraordinaire Nazneen Tariq and makeup maestro Saima Bargfrede. Day 1: The first day of fashion week is not usually crazy and it was my first time working at the event (I didn’t know what to expect) so I...

Firstly, sorry for being so MIA, I had a lot on my plate. I have moved back to Karachi and it took a while to settle in. Now for the interesting bit- The Celine Shadow Sunglasses. You must have seen these on Kim Kardashian West and Christine Centenera, fashion editor for Vogue Australia. Tortoise shell frames became all the rave a couple of months back, as a sort of “vintage revival” and I was instantly sold. These Celines retail for around £345 and other variations in the £250 price range. It’s obvious that I hunted for dupes and you will never guess where I got the best version from… PRIMARK To all those scrunching their noses, YES! Primark. Initially, I was searching online and I...

Seeing flared trousers, denim dresses and voluminous blowouts everywhere, one thing is for sure- we’ve embraced the 70’s comeback. But what I specifically love about the trend is the accessories, which brings us to the Carlina sunglasses by Chloe.   For me personally, I got very Charlie’s Angels- Farah Fawcett “vibes” when I discovered the Chloe range. That’s probably because of the oversized shape, pink coloured lenses and gold rims. I could see myself in a denim jumpsuit or a white tiered maxi dress just rocking these glasses amidst some palm trees (but that will probably remain a dream, since the dupes did not suit me at all and I’ll ramble about that later).     I found these sunglasses on DEPOP, DEPOP.COM an app...

No. 2 on this series are the Chanel Slingback shoes- a classic piece to have in one’s wardrobe. Coco Chanel’s love for sport and travel is what served as inspiration for the shoes. They were designed so that she could do those two things without seemingly dirtying her shoes.   Unfortunately, Chanel comes with a hefty £889 price tag and I think this particular colour is also sold out. So obviously I had to do some digging for dupes. Earlier this year we saw many companies, namely Zara, launch their take on the shoes but I wasn’t really happy with the overall execution. I searched some more and finally landed upon Choies’ website. I got these shoes for around £25. These are sold out...

Who doesn’t love a bargain? I know I do and I love digging for designer inspired fashion that brands make for a fraction of the price because I feel that luxury should be for everyone. And so, I am starting a series on my blog called ‘Designer Dupe’ which would give you options for the luxe designer look minus the painfully heavy price tag.   So number 1 on this series are the Valentino Rockstud Sandals. The rockstud style is my favourite designer piece on the market and I hyperventilate every time I see someone wearing it but it retails in the £600-700 price margin, a bit excessive for me at the moment. I have seen some great dupes of the pump out...
