I received a towel as my 20th birthday present. By now you know that the title of this blogpost oozes sarcasm. I will spare the detail of who sent it because that’s pretty much as irrelevant as the person themself.  (Coming to the ^ picture shortly, read below) I was in London at the time and my mother was visiting so we had a full house of very sassy ladies-including my mother’s best friend and my flatmate. Now this so called present was the hype since it was being sent to me from Pakistan and the sender just would not stop talking to me about the contents, packaging and effort put into it all. 4 days after...

I’ve always been someone who is attached to memories and sentiments and I wanted something, apart from a journal/scrapbook that commemorated my travels to new places. Recently I interned with Paperazzi Magazine and had the opportunity to attend Fashion Week, Pakistan 2017. I was required to cover the red carpet which entailed taking pictures of major fashion figures and celebrities and of course shoot my favourite looks from the runway. It was lovely to work with the Paperazzi girls, Mehak Elahi and Mehreen Hashmi. I got to connect with so many amazing personalities such as stylist Amal Qadri from ‘Shake Things Up by Amal’, editor of Niche Lifestyle, Zainab Malik, jewelry extraordinaire Nazneen Tariq and makeup maestro Saima Bargfrede. Day 1: The first day of fashion week is not usually crazy and it was my first time working at the event (I didn’t know what to expect) so I...
